NEANCO

OUR

STORY

Our story dates back to 1983. The person behind NEANCO imported the first IBM PC to Scandinavia, and provided organisations in the Nordics (through resellers and partners) with 2MB memory add-in cards, 5 and 10MB harddrives and 60MB tapestreamers (backup). Growing fast (1st year revenue €8Million) up through the 80'ies, several IT-distribution and manufacturing companies was started - and in 1996, we merged them all (combined revenue of more than €180million) - prior to being acquired by Citibank's Venture Capital Fund.

Security began to surface more and more - and through assignments with first, a leading edge network equipment manufacturer, then two of the worlds first movers in mobile applications and middleware solutions for the Financial Services Industry (FSI) - the security side developed and smarter and more efficient encryption-methods, client-server communication platforms was developed. A few people launched NEANCO Inc. where a patented technology was developed using state-of-the-art cryptography, biometric authentication and advanced client/server communcation. This technology was sold and a new venture within Deep-Packet-Inspection was started. DPI is a technology used for 'taking' a copy of all data transmitted and stored for playback, forensics, documentation, investigation etc.

DPI has nano-second accurate time-stamping, collects data in wirespeed - and is used by legal entities to provide Early Case Assessments (ESA based on EDRM) and legal evidence - and it lead over to middleware solutions using Artificial Intelligence (and extremely advanced machine learning) for added security in moitoring, face recoqnition, biometrics, behavior analytics and the broad area of Cyber Security.

The last 10 years, Security Operation Centres has emerged more and more - and through various SOC certifications and using several of the leading technologies (SIEMs and a range of other products within the eco-securitysystem) - a long range of organisations have been consulted helping setting up their SOC services.

This has also resulted in several of certifications, best practice hands-on experience leveraging various frameworks within Busines Performance and Operational Ecellence and a range of the Cyber Security frameworks (like  ISO2700x, NIST, CIS, CSF etc.) and full 360-degree coverage has been added.

Lastly, the interest for performance and operational excellence have growing for almost 30 years. Owning and operating a business require more than just a good idea. Back in the New York days - certifications like Miller Heimann and Baldrige (business excellence) inspired and helped understand business issues, challenges and how to solve and face them.

In recent years - these topics have melted together. The performance and operations ecellence can't happen withoug digitalisation and IT - and that brings Cyber Security into play. It take years to build a business - it takes a hacker a couple of minutes to ruin it.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND

RESILIENCE MANAGEMENT

Include all the practices of planning, integrating, executing and governing activities to ensure an entity can:

  • identify and mitigate operational risks that could lead to service disruptions before they occur
  • prepare for and respond to disruptive events (realized risks) in a manner that demonstrates command and control of incident response nd service continuity
  • Recover and restore mission-critical services and operations following and incident within acceptable time frames
